I Turned My Car Into a Moving Classroom: The Crazy Story of Mauritius’ First Mobile Tutor
If you see a bright yellow van parked near Flic en Flac beach with students inside, don't be alarmed. That's just Kevin.
Kevin is Mauritius' first "Mobile Tutor". And his schedule is fully booked.
The Idea
"I was tired of traffic," Kevin says. "I spent 3 hours a day driving between students' houses. I thought: Why don't they come to me? But I didn't have an office."
So, he bought a second-hand van, installed a solar-powered fan, a whiteboard, and high-speed 5G Wi-Fi.
The Experience
It's not just a gimmick. The "Van Classroom" is a distraction-free zone. "When kids step into the van, they know it's work time. But it's also cool. They love telling their friends they have lessons in a van."
Why It Works
- Flexibility: Kevin parks near schools at 3 PM. Parents drop their kids off, go shopping, and pick them up an hour later.
- Novelty: It makes learning exciting again.
Innovation is everywhere. Kevin is just one of the thousands of passionate educators on our platform. Find Unique Tutors Near You
